Hello, I'm Ryan!
Born and raised in Eugene Oregon, I moved up to Portland in my early 20's and lived the service industry life as a line cook for 12 years. I decided on a career change in 2014 and went back school at Lane Community College back in Eugene to become a graphic designer. I graduated in 2016 and subsequently was hired at Richardson Sports, a leading headwear manufacturer, as an in house designer.
In 2021 I decided to continue my education at Portland State University where I expect to graduate in June of 2023 as a recipient of the Presidents Award as well as being a member of the Dean's List for Academic Achievement.
At PSU I was lucky to be a part of the Friendtorship partnership with Walt Morey Middle school where I was a mentor in art and graphic design for a group of middle school students. This project was very rewarding and helped me hone my leadership and teaching skills.
My freelance work includes event branding, creating email blasts, event photography, and most recently I illustrated a 36 page children's book titled "Journey to Nature" (you can find it on Amazon).
In my free time I am riding my bike, singing karaoke, sipping on some coffee, or working on personal projects.
